In February 2018, the Magodesi Luv Project will be starting its own Nursery & Primary School.
The School is named after its benefactor, Pastor John Obelle, who has held the vision in his heart for over 10 years to start free nursery & primary education for orphaned children within his community of Lwanjinsi.
St John’s is based out of the newly constructed CRC (Community Resource Centre) in the heart of the Project and will initially be providing basic classes for nursery and P1. Operate on a voluntary bases until funding can be found for salaries and additional educational materials.
Please stand with us as we seek to provide free educational services to the orphaned children of Lwanjinsi.
We are still yet to complete the Community Resource Centre building Project but the demand is so high for quality primary schooling, that the leadership team felt that they had to get started with the building as it currently is, weather proof & water tight but comestically not complete. We are waiting on the Lord for a final £2000 to complete the concrete flooring, internal plastering and internal / external painting in the Summer of 2018.
In February 2018 St John;s Primary school opened its doors to a dozen local orphans and community children, with 4 weeks that number had risen to 24 children requiring two full time voluntary teachers
By March 2018, word had spread about the free schooling in Magodesi and numbers have increased again and the school now has 50 full time primary school children, 4 teachers and two class room assistants.
Please stand with us by making a small donation using the "Donate" Button at the top of the page. The School is making such a difference within one of the poorest communities in this rural district. The faithful staff are giving their time voluntarily but would love to be able to support and provide for their families. Please take the time to donate above, any amount wlil be gratefully received.
